LEARN MORE ABOUT
WI CAPITOL WATCH

WI Capitol Watch (formerly Family Research Forum) is a non-profit 501(c)4 public policy organization.  It was originally founded in 1989 to promote legislation in the state government and other policy making entities from a Judeo-Christian, pro-family perspective to protect the traditional family.  Our perspective is drawn from the wisdom of Scripture and reflects what we believe to be the intent of the Creator.   The name has been changed, but the mission and vision remain the same.

We believe a better Wisconsin will result in a better America.  America was built one citizen, one family, one community, one state at a time.  WI Capitol Watch's commitment is to operate the most effective, consistent and influential organization possible in Wisconsin.  If we do our job well enough, perhaps we can encourage others across our state and nation who share a common vision.

WI Capitol Watch was reactivated in February 2000 under its former name, by Marvin Munyon, Founder and President.  The name was changed to WI Capitol Watch in June 2003.

The key to our success will be the commitment of individuals willing to invest their time and resources to the fulfilling of traditional family values.

WI Capitol Watch will seek to promote pro-family initiatives in conjunction with "grassroots" efforts, such as writing letters, telephoning legislators and appearing in person at public hearings when necessary.

WI Capitol Watch will pursue state-wide involvement and participation of interested individuals through a statewide network system and web site.  The goal for our network is to have leaders in each of the 33 senate and 99 assembly districts.  Each leader will be part of an email alert system that will keep them informed of issues vital to the family so they can have their voice heard in the legislative process as well as inform others.

Mission
Our mission is to preserve, protect and promote the traditional family by advocating in the public policy arena.

Vision
Our vision is to advocate for the family in Wisconsin's public policy arena.  Through this effort, we believe we can promote principles and values in state laws and within society itself that will support family and public life today.

Staffing
Our staff consists of one paid member, that of a combined Founder, President and Director.  Other staff positions will be added as possible.  Until that time, volunteer help will be greatly appreciated.

Business Philosophy
We are family oriented which is described by the following five points relating to traditional family values:

  1)  Health and life of the family and it's members, born and pre-born,
  2)  Opposing re-definition of the traditional family,
  3)  The right of parents to raise and nurture their children free of unreasonable government intrusion,
  4)  Return to traditional academic education
  5)  Economic initiatives to support the traditional family.

We seek to promote the introduction of positive legislation and promote the passage of legislation to further strengthen the family, as well as stand against legislation detrimental to the family.
